Food kits

Anyone has ever open and used a food survival package? What is in there? They list the caloric content like 2000 cal what is inside? Sugar and water mixed? Flour?
Or protein bars?

What kind of survival food kit are you asking about? There are a variety of types out there. Are you thinking of a kit sold by a specific company? Or a type of survival food bar?

There are companies out there that sell survival food packs. They punch around 2000cal/pk and need just minimum amounts od water. Any idea about that?

I think you're talking about one like this.

I have one but have never opened it. I have heard that it tastes like a sugar cookie.

If I recall rightly the lifeboat rations tend to be low protein. Low protein meals require less water (and calories; paradoxically) to digest.

I have, they are not bad tasting but dry. I have read also that they contain no fat and would not be too good for extended use.

One other point: An article stated that thse can be powdered, mixed with water and used for baby formula .

Re: Food kits

I actually tried one like tinman posted before but it was a different company. They said it tasts like a big cookie, and it actually does. It wasn't to bad. The problem is that its so big. If you were going to snack on it, it would be fine but theres no way you could eat it as a meal. If you eat the amount they say you would almost have to force yourself to finish it. Then if some how you did, theres no way you would eat it for dinner as well.
